The red room is based around an Apple G5 Computer with 2ghz processor speed & 4 gigs of ram. An additional 160 gig drive holds our sample library. The studio is practically all ‘soft’ with the only hardware keyboard being a Korg Karma.
Writing is done using Motu’s Digital Performer. All our samples are streamed from multiple versions of Motu’sMach 5 samplers {including the Vienna Symphony Orchestral Library}
Sound sources include Spectrsonics Atmosphere, Trilogy & Stylus as well as Native Instruments
Absynth & Vocator. The desks are two Yamaha 02r’s cascaded together to give us 96 digital inputs & reverbs are supplies by Lexicon & TC Electronics.
We use three way Genelec monitors with pyramid speakers for ‘tv testing’
Mastering us done via the Waves Mastering set of plugins.
We digitize vhs tapes using an aurora igniter capture card & Final Cut Pro.

The studio is also equipped with a sound booth suitable for small ensemble work, soloists and speech & makes a great space for making original sounds using materials to hand & our collection of ethnic instruments & percussion.
We use Rode & Neumman mikes & a TLA Valve mike preamp.

When Andy is busy mixing Brolly & Deri can still write as they both have laptop or studio setups at home with material being transferred by firewire drives.
